The emissions reduction projects that we present to our clients have all undergone stricty scrutiny by our experienced staff. When you purchase carbon credits from CO2focus, you are guaranteed top quality and well documented projects. Our advisors will guide you through each step of the process, and assist in the selection of the desired project. We offer carbon credits for both voluntary offsetting and for organisations that need to comply with the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) regulations.
CO2focus offer UN issued emission credits CERs (Certified Emission Reduction) and EU Allowances issued by the EU Member States into Member State Registry accounts, to be used in the EU ETS. We also offer Gold Standard CERs.
CO2focus encourage organisations to reduce their own greenhouse gas emissions. However, unavoidable emissions can be offset by purchasing carbon credits which also contribute to renewable energy production in developing countries.
CO2focus purchase the carbon credits on behalf of the client and make sure the credits are retired and destroyed in a national carbon registry. The carbon credits can thus not be resold and carbon neutrality is achieved. All our clients receive an official transaction note from the Swiss carbon registry, attesting that the credits are retired from the market.
